1. The service
FindYourSurfBuddy is an application published by ilove.productions that connects board-sports enthusiasts (surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, wing foiling) around spot communities: a group chat per spot, “going in” sessions, message exchanges, and home and gear swaps. ilove.productions is not a party to the exchanges agreed between users and provides no guarantee regarding the homes, the gear, or the people.
2. Account and eligibility
You can sign up with a Google account, with “Sign in with Apple”, or with an email and password. The service is restricted to adults (18+). You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile information and for keeping your account secure.
3. Subscription
Some paid features may be offered: a subscription (unlimited spots beyond 3, host contact details, listing publication, initiating contact — when open), a PRO plan for shops, lesson bookings with independent coaches (SurfBuddy takes a commission on each booking; the lesson itself remains the coach's sole responsibility) and a voluntary recurring support plan granting the Ambassador badge. All payments are made exclusively on this website and processed by Stripe; no refund is due for a started period, except where required by law or under the cancellation terms applicable to lesson bookings.
4. Content and conduct
You remain the owner of the content you publish (photos, listings, messages) and you grant ilove.productions a hosting and display license necessary for the operation of the service. The following are notably prohibited: unlawful, hateful, or sexual content, harassment, identity theft, spam, and any unauthorized commercial activity. Any content can be reported from within the app; moderation may remove content, deactivate a profile, or suspend an account without notice in the event of a breach.
5. Home swaps
Home and gear swaps are the sole responsibility of the users involved. We recommend that you verify the identity of the other person, formalize the swap in writing, and check your insurance coverage (home, liability) before any swap.
6. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Delete my account) or from this website (My account → Account). Deletion permanently removes your profile, photos, posts, listings, conversations and verification documents, revokes your Apple session where applicable, and your account is anonymized. Billing data is kept for the duration of legal accounting obligations.
7. Liability and changes to the service
The service is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of continuous availability. Conditions and safety information (weather, tides, safety alerts) are indicative and derived from automated forecasts: they replace neither your own judgment, nor the flags, nor the instructions of lifeguards and local authorities — you remain solely responsible for your decision to get in the water. These terms may change; continued use after publication constitutes acceptance. Governing law: French law.
